Sunday NIght Dinner

Healthy Dinner: Salmon cooked in olive oil, and vegetable soup made with potatoes carrots garlic and leafy veggie. Suprisingly tasty, considering there's no MSG nor meat essence in it.

Ayam Penyet Craving

I was planning to have a light Sunday dimsum lunch at Novena. My mind was set, until I watched this Indonesian show where they were trying out the different restos and stalls here in Singapore that serves Ayam Penyet..

Suddenly, I felt myself drooling and craving for Ayam Penyet (smashed chicken).

Well, the closest one was at the food court of Velocity.
So, that's where I went.
I ordered the ayam penyet, thigh part.

The chicken, telok and something (the nugget-lookalike) with the sambal.

The soup, which is a bit sweet, a bit spicy and a bit sour.
**************************************************************
I feel that the taste (and especially the choice of rice) has improved from the last time I ate at Spice Corner.
Chicken was good, except I didn't really get the 'ayam penyet' feel when I ate it. It tasted like a good home-fried chicken.
The two other fried stuff were so-so. Sambal was okay, although it wasn't scorchingly spicy.
The Ayam Penyet at Lucky Plaza is definitely still more shiok, but I like the quality of the food (chicken is not fatty) from Spice Corner. It's very good, considering it's in a food court.

Give Me Power, Pearls

My friend was telling me that pearls are associated with bankers / working in a bank. So *light bulb!*, my boyfriend mom gave me pearl necklace and pear bracelet last year.

I'm not exactly a necklace person, but I may start wearing the bracelets. Anything that would help me with my job, I'm open to it.

Food

Nougat stall near the Raffles Place MRT. Too bad they'll only be there till 28Feb.
I loooove chewy nougats!

I miss Killiney. My previous RM used to buy us coffee or tea on some mornings. He knew I liked Killiney's teh.

My teh-peng. (Tea Cold)

Cheat day: Tapa King lunch treat from my RM. Fried liempo (pork) with sinangag (fried rice) and egg. He also ordered kang kong and salted egg.

My Thursday lunch at Cafe Panini.

The sandwich was sooo huge!

Yummy but sigh.. it's not healthy

Red Flats

Red flats! Bought it on sale. After 50% discount, it's down to SGD19++
Gray shirt, black short and red flats

From my point of view

From your point of view

It would take time for me to break-in into the shoes.
The red shoe left a very angry red mark. Shoe hickey!

Like, Totally!

Outside Ion Orchard's LV branch.
The still crisp-looking carrier bag.
The extremes: Daiso Purchases (SGD10 for 5 items) and LV Carrier

Welcome to your new home! Where you will be loved for the first few days, and eventually ignored. Tsk tsk.

Taking the bag out

Totally PM (small). I was supposed to get the Totally MM (Medium), but it was Totally too big for me.

Ahhh... actually, Totally is photogenic. She looks like an imitation LV in person. er, in actual.

For the PM bag, there's only 2 inside pockets.

Totally PM with Rivington PM and Bacon at the back.
(She was there all along, I just positioned her so that she's facing the camera.)

Into the bag you go.

My second LV bag. First LV purchase.
I guess I'm spoiling myself too much.. but I do have my own reasons for buying it.
At this point, I just have to make sure it doesn't become a habit.

830pm Breakfast

At Wild Honey in Mandarin Gallery
They serve all-day breakfast, and they're always packed. We waited for about 20-30 minutes.

Breakfast from different countries.. How I wish they'd include the Philippine breakfast of longanisa (sausage [but it's different from the western sausages because it's sweet, and..well, it's just different]), sinangag (garlic fried rice), fried egg.

Wild Honey Iced Tea. I won't order this next time. It tasted too... medicinal.

My English Breakfast. I'm gagging now just by looking at it. These are all the things I'm not supposed to eat (both for my weight loss and blood type diet) - sausage, bacon, grilled tomato, potato wedges, sauteed mushrooms and soft scrambled eggs with two giant slices of bread.
My friend's Tuscan (I think) breakfast - stewed tomato with egg something.

English breakfast in a bite.
******************************************************************
I liked the eggs. The wedges and sauteed mushrooms were okay as well.
All others were too salty, too oily, too common.
Each person shelled out SGD30.
I didn't like it much, but maybe because to begin with, I don't eat breakfast and when I do, I don't really enjoy it.. except on rare instances.
