Just For Today

Okay, from now on, I will follow the 'Just for today' principle. When I wake up tomorrow morning, I will think ' Just for today, I will not be stressed. I will smile. I will be cheerful. I will not say anything negative.'

Just for today, I will believe that I can do whatever I wrote earlier.

I'm Watching The Hossan Leong Show!

*************************************************
I'm watching the matinee show this Saturday, Oct 2, at the National Library.
I can't wait! The ticket isn't cheap, but I think it's going to be worth it.
I love Hossan Leong because he's the only comedian that can make me laugh till I cry, and it's a super wonderful feeling!

In My Dreams

I fell in love with a cute Prada two-strap shoulder bag at the Reebonz sale at Expo yesterday.

Right after we left the area, I pushed the thought away. But later on, the image of the bag propped up in my mind again.

I really want it! But deep inside, I know I will never be able to bring myself to actually purchase it. Sigh, the tug of war between want vs. need.

Hooked on Twix

I'm addicted to Twix lately. It's a bad thing, I know. But I only have one bar left anyway, so after that, no more Twix for me.

My New Favorite 'Dish' To Cook

Store-bought concentrated herbal soup

One of my favorite veggies - broccoli

Green and vitamin-A rich.

Boiling water+concentrated herbal soup = nutritious soup!

I always add mee suah

And egg (without the yolk)

boil-a-boil-a-boil

Chadah! Nutritious meal within 15 minutes.

************************************************
Thanks to my friend for sharing this soup idea with me. The concentrated herbal soup is available at Cold Storage grocery (and probably at other groceries as well). The most expensive one is at SGD8.50.
Now, I can eat a nutritious dish in a jiffy!

Cup Noodles, I Like

Downloaded apps.

The 4 dudes who came up with Nissin Cup Noodles

Nissin Cup Noodles for supper. I suddenly had the craving. (This was last Saturday)

Sometimes I would feel the urge to eat cup noodles. Usually, I wouldn't give in, but this time around, after reading the Nissip Cup Noodles story, I couldn't control myself.
I appreciate the noodles more now, but of course, I know it's not good for the body and should not be eaten frequently.

Mochi Mochi

Mochi from Cold Storage
With peach yogurt inside
Looks like a contact lens container

The only thing is, there' s too much flour coating, which I couldn't brush off because it's stuck to the mochi skin.
A box is about sgd6+.

Soft Straightening at SuperCuts

This is me at the SuperCuts Salon, Sengkang some 3 weeks ago.

I had my hair 'soft straightened' (less damaging than rebond because of the gentler chemical used) at Supercuts. I had to, because my hair wasn't listening to me anymore. No amount of anti-frizz serum can control it. So, to lessen my life's daily stress, I decided to have this almost 3 hour procedure done to my hair. In the process, it gave me another thing to stress about- the price!. It cost me SGD295. Geez.

Anyway, picture (blurry, I know) of me above, all foiled up. Ready to be roasted.

Once a Loser, Always a Loser

Alone in the office at about 830pm on a Friday night... Looooseeer!
My messy messy desk. Somebody help me organize my things!
*****************************************************
I know I've previously posted about being a loser by staying in the office till super late (I can't find that post now). Anyway, it seems I'm doing it again!
2 weeks into the job, and I'm already a loser.
I hope though, that it's because I'm still in the adjustment stage, and soon life will be easier.
Jia yo! (I'm encouraging myself).

How to Know if I'm Okay..

You'll know, by the frequency of my posts. More posts mean I'm in a good/better disposition.

Adopt a Pudding

I saw another soft toy amongst my flatmate's things. I didn't check the label. I looked at it and thought 'hmmm it's a pudding'.
And yes, I'm correct. It is a pudding.
It's quite soft too.
I looked at it and was deciding if I should adopt it or not. In the end, I put her back into the paperbag. Her cuteness level didn't meet my standards.

Tayong Dalawa = The Two of Us

Inside 8 Days Magazine...
Tayong Dalawa is a TV Series from the Philippines. I watch it whenever I'm back in the Philippines, but I don't really like it.

Now, they've brought that series over to Singapore and had it dubbed in English (some of the voices are really weird sounding)

Guess what I did the whole Saturday afternoon? I watched the marathon! Darn it. I got hooked on it.

Meet Bacon

My flatmate moved out and left some of her things behind. These things are free for anyone to take.

I was looking thru them when I saw this pig.

It's a cellphone dock. I took her to my room and put Tibby on the pig's back. Ahh, I liked the pig instantly. She's very perky-looking.

I decided to adopt her and include her in my laundry. There she is, inside the protective net.

Here's Bacon, clean and freshly bathed.

Left Bacon on the griller, er, laundry thingy, and clipped her label to the metal grid so that she won't fall.

Look at her, she looks so happy.

Ginza Barin Katsudon

Special Katsudon (special means it has egg on top).
*****************************************************
I wanted to reward myself for surviving my first week at work, so I went to Ion last night to buy my dinner at Ginza Barin.
I ordered their special katsudon. Based on the picture on the menu, the only thing that makes it 'special' is the egg. Since I love eggs, I ordered the special katsudon.
When I got home, I was excited to 'attack' the food because it looked so appetising!
But I restrained myself and did some tabatha exercise first.

Anyway, I went on to eat my katsudon and it was nice. I was enjoying it until I bit on a stupid eggshell!!! I hate eggshell on my food!!! and I can't understand why I always bite into them. I rarely hear people say there's eggshell on their food. Why me? I hate eggshells!
Fine. Lesson learned. Next time I go there, I'm not getting their 'special' katsudon.
*Shudder* I can still remember the crunch of the eggshell. Eeeeew.

My Homework

I printed these product factsheets with the intention of reading it over the weekend.

Ha! as if that would really happen. I think the most I will do is buy a cute folder from Daiso to file them in.

Kichi Kichi Koooo

Mushroom soup base / prawn soup

The soup's a boilin

My first bowl - soup with noodles. nothing else.
Second bowl. Just a piece of crab.

Third bowl - a piece of dumpling and veggies

Fishcake ( I think), prawn, and veggies.

A piece of dumpling.

*************************************************************
Last Saturday, my friends and I ate at Kichi Kichi, Ngee Ann City.
It's a rotary hotpot restaurant located at level 6.
It's buffet (again!). The food and taste was okay, just your ordinary hotpot. The only difference was the conveyer belt, the food just parades in front of you, so you just grab and grab and grab. The eyes tend to become greedy seeing all those colorful food, so the arms would just automatically stretch out and grab the item.
Each of us shed out SGD31.
This place is good to chat with friends, but taste-wise, it's definitely better at Hey Hey Hotpot.
