Munch Lunch

At Munch, Marina Bay Link Mall

Dory fillet with sidedish of salad and chunky egg (I love eggs, but this was just too much for me. They probably gave me 3 eggs worth).
Cost: SGD11.30 (or about). Quite expensive for lunch, but for health's sake. (except the mayo on the egg salad. I didn't eat the egg yolks.. er maybe just some of it.)

Nude Big Bird

I always order the Big Bird Wrap at Salad Stop.

One day, instead of giving me a wrap, they gave me the Big Bird Salad instead. It looked so bare to me. So leafy and so.. healthy looking (too healthy-looking actually).

Ms. Mismatched

One Thursday, like any other workday, I was late for work.
I was about to enter the elevator when I realised that I haven't brought my office shoes yet (I wear sandals when I go to work). So, I opened my shoe cabinet and grabbed a pair.

When I got to the office, I took out the shoes from my shoe bag and... gak! it's mismatched! And both are for the right foot!
No choice, I had to wear my sandals for the rest of the day. What a waste of an otherwise chic office outfit. Melon-colored lace singlet with black satin skirt and a light short-sleeved knit cardigan.

6 Lbs.

Six pounds, that's just what I lost after 3 weeks of diligent dieting and working out in the gym.

I'm upset because I was expecting to have lost at least 10 lbs! I've been eating leaves and soup, I haven't eaten any chocolate for 3 weeks. I've stayed away from junk food, I've only eaten 2 cups of rice in 3 weeks... I've been going to the gym 4-5 times a week.

Sigh.. I'm getting old, body fats are becoming more and more stubborn.

Whateversss

My new snack. Jumbo seaweed sheet, only 20 kcal
And it's big enough to satisfy me

Last Saturday, I was standing on the island, waiting for the light to turn green, when this stupid jerk whooshed past me. He was driving so fast that I got splashed with road puddle. It wasn't the usual waist-down splash thing. I got splashed from head to toe! My shirt was so wet that it was difficult to tear it away from my body. Jerk!

Finally, I'm using this cherry face towel. I've had this for almost 2 years. I've totally forgotten about it, but thankfully saw it while doing my thorough closet clean-up.

A cute clear jelly! It doesn't taste as nice as it looks though.

Saturday Night Dinner

Salmon steak with mashed potato and salad. About SGD16.
Shared seafood pizza. Quite yummy.
Total bill: SGD26 per person.

Spanx Me!

Inside the fitting room.

My boss raved about this product, and I've researched it over the net

So I decided to purchase one, to lessen my stress about those uneven body curves. With the Christmas money gift I received, I finally bought my first Spanx yesterday. It was the right thing to do (to wait), because there was a 20% discount at Metro.

From SGD119, it was down to SGD95. Expensive, I know. But it does give a slight boost to my self confidence. That alone is worth it.

Small! =)

I must admit, it's comfortable. However, when I have more excess funds, I'd still buy the 'boned' corset because I feel it would improve my posture, plus re-position my tummy fats.

The Wedding Souvenir

It's not some Chinese new year cookies (sigh), but a cute Sakura salt and pepper shaker

Wedding Banquet in January

I bought this dress yesterday for the wedding banquet. It wasn't part of the plan, because I already have a cocktail dress.. but I couldn't resist because it was on sale!
Original price was SGD158, after the sale, it was down to SGD40.

...and it made me happy because it's a size 34, and I fit into it!

My not 'ang' angpao.

The registration area

Oooh.. souvenir! We were guessing that it might be Chinese new year goodies.

The bride and groom's table

Bring in the food!

But before the food, we had to welcome the bride and groom with these party poppers which I honestly don't like. The last time I popped one of them, it sparked! This time, I pulled the string, but it didn't pop out the colorful paper strips, only a strong smell of gunpowder. Or whatever it is that they put in there.

Bride and groom slicing the cake.
Pink Azalea room at Shangri-La.

Appetiser. Duck, fried something roll, dumpling-thingy, roast pork and prawn

Shark's fin soup.
It's shark's fin soup! So it must be good.. but, this one was a bit too bland

Lucky lucky me. Look at that big chunk... I've already eaten the other chunk at this point.

Fried Sun Hock fish. My colleague said it's one of the best fishes around. King of the garoupas...
I got the portion near the gut though, so some bites tasted a bit fishy.

Roast chicken. I only ate one piece, because I'm not supposed to eat chicken.

Veggies and mushroom with abalone.

Ee fu noodles. Last of the main dishes. A bit dry, this one.

Mango pudding with fruits.. I wanted to ask the waiter "where are my fruits!? and I want more cream on me puddin'! ".
This was my favorite.

*******************************************************************
Today was my colleague's lunch wedding banquet at Shangri-la, Orange Grove. My second Chinese wedding banquet here in Singapore.
Taste-wise, the food at Sheraton was much better. But, the banquet was fun, though a bit long. I was there at 12:30pm, and went home five minutes before 4pm.

Money Money Money

My little cat's backview

Front view, when entering into my room.

Healthy Food

My favorite Big Bird wrap from Salad Stop!
At Munch, Marina Bay Link Mall.
Salmon with two side dishes: okra (with sesame oil. eeew it was too gooey. and broccoli) . I think this was about SGD14.

Mushroom soup at Soup Spoon

Spinach and mozzarella wrap.

They have a nice points system. No more manual card stamping because each card comes with a bar code, so everytime you purchase something, they just 'toot' the card, and everything gets counted, down to the last cent.

My new find: Soup. Broth. Asia.
Was super full with the set meal which came with a bowl of soup (I had the fish soup with fish maw), 2 side dishes (yummy baby kailan and sambal egg ), and hot green tea. Set meal was SGD14.
However, after 2 hours, I was super hungry. Thank goodness I brought bananas to the office.
The set meal.
Yum yum. Atleast it's different from Soup Spoon and Superlicious, because they're broth and not creamy soups.
