Stuck in Between

Crumpled starbucks recyclable paper bag
The other piece is already in my stomach. Ate it while walking from bus stop to the condo.

This was fun, filling the square holes (or should it be pegs?) with strawberry jam.

I'm not a Starbucks fan, but I seem to be buying more and more food from them. So what am I? Hmm.. I know, desperate!

Since I leave the office late, the first 'still open' store I see is Starbucks, so naturally my stomach would growl and convince me to buy food from there. I've already bought quiche there, and a number of sandwiches.

I got the waffles tonight. 2 warm pcs with butter and strawberry jam at SGD2.90.

Not bad. I believe this food fits into my blood type diet because it's made of regular flour, egg, butter and milk. Just nice.

Signed Copy

Darn, Kinokuniya is selling signed copies of one of my favorite books.

I'm a Finalist

I know, this is a sight for sore eyes. But it's actually a stolen shot. Nobody would really scold me for taking photos, but they would just think I'm weird.

This was the catered lunch buffet during the bank award ceremony thing last Tuesday, where I'm a finalist for 'Best of the best service hero'.

Food was quite good. Not gourmet food, just the basics: fried rice, noodles, chicken, veggies, curry.. But I liked it.

I didn't win the top prize of SGD1000 shopping voucher, because I'm just the finalist (me and another girl- good thing there wasn't any ranking. ) I got this digital photo frame. If only I have the space here in my room. Sigh, I couldn't bear to sell it either.
My photoframe and award.

It May Not Seem Like It, but Yes, I'm on a Diet

Avocado roll

My first ever raw salmon. It's suprisingly okay, though I wouldn't order it myself.
Sweet and chewy. If only I could forget that it's raw. There's just something about 'raw' that makes me cringe.
Chawan mushi - nothing special about it except the presentation and the sauce they give you (which actually takes out the 'eggi-ness' of the dish)

Tempura. Ordinary. Too ordinary.

1 minute timer for the kamameshi

Unagi kamameshi

Caged desssert - beancurd cheesecake *recomended*

Green tea tiramisu *you're not missing anything if you don't order this*

Nope, not a black and white photo. It's black sesame pudding. (Skip it)

Macha ice cream. Very nice.

Sweet potato thing. Skip it, skip it.

Dreamboat or whatever it's called. Orange juice with geisha green tea (I think) at TWG, Ion. It's
okay.

Shrimp beignets, the 'atas' (high class) name. Camaron Rebusado, the Filipino counterpart.
I love Camaron better!
Imagine, just 5 prawns and some leaf and mangoes is already SGD27++!
Ah, this is the only thing I will recommend from TWG. This heavenly dessert. It's like a blown up creme brulee with strawberries inside.. Mmmmm.. I'll be back for a slice..

Professor Brawn Cafe at Velocity Mall

The Harry Potter-ish book

Lemonade in a cute mini 'sexy' glass
Delicious chicken with truffle (and mounds of potato wedges). Sniff. Can't eat this anymore..

Shredded pork rice (almost finished) and gyoza at basement 4 of Ion. My favorite comfort food and comfort place. It's tucked inside, so I'm sure I won't be bumping into officemates there.
To contradict myself, the table and seat arrangement is not comfortable. You see, it's not really meant as a table, but a cabinet. So to eat, customers have to sit sideways.
Sticky rice with smelt and fish, from Isetan food section. First two bites are nice, but succeeding ones are too 'sticky'

Goodbye Chicken, Hello Flat Tummy

I cooked this on Sunday [chicken with 3 kinds of mushrooms] (before I knew about the 'blood type diet'). Dang! I make nice chicken soup. Too bad.
Quite expensive. About SGD26.

My blood type is 'B', and according to studies, I can't eat chicken because it has Lectin which is not good for me. I remember reading an article that says lectin can cause stomach bloating, sore muscles, increased pulse rate etc.

I don't know if it's true, but for me personally, I have a gut feel that this is applicable to me. I've been worried about my bloated stomach for months, and I can't seem to tone it down. I'm on a strict diet (except for these past few days), I don't drink sodas, I exercise.
I control what I eat. Usually I alternate betwee fish and chicken. Bingo! So I'm thinking that chicken might really be the culprit.

I bought Dr. D'Adamo's book 'Eat Right For Your Type' (because I'm too lazy to keep researching the net and also too much hassle to print it in the office).

So after my vacations (to Manila and to Hong Kong), I'll be starting this 'Blood Type Diet'.

MIA

I was MIA for a few days because I've been coming home late:
Monday - left the office at 11:45
Tuesday - left at around 8, but got home around 9. I went to ION to buy some things.
Wednesday - left at around 8, got home around 9 also. I went to Takashimaya to buy things.
Thursday - left at 10:45
Friday - unknown yet, but probably late again because I'll be clearing my things in preparation for my leave next week! Hurrah hurrah!!!

I don't have roaming, I don't read emails, I don't visit my facebook that much when I'm away.. for one week, no one will be able to find me... because I don't want to be found!

Stay Home Sunday. Yey!

I now like staying home on Sundays because I've realised that there's a lot of nice tv series from noon to night.

At about 1pm or so (this is when I get up), there's a show about 2 brother who likes the same girl. The girl is rich, while the siblings are just normal working people. I still don't know the title, but I must have watched it 4 Sundays in a row now.

Next, there's this Taiwan drama about Xiaohua, who is loved by 2 guys - Jia Sile and Tan Men. I also don't know the title.
Then there's about an hour of bad shows, before the series 'My Buddy' comes up. This is being shown on Saturdays as well. Since I also get to watch on Saturdays, it's perfect to watch it also on Sundays.

At 7pm, the famous drama 'Ai' (Love) is shown. The series is probably a bit too 'old' for me, but I like it.
I like watching drama shows ever since, and I also enjoy watching the Singaporean series a lot.

I'm Excited!

I'm excited to give my mum the rosary bracelet I bought for her!

What's so special about it is, after I purchased it, the Priest was there and I had it blessed! He even touched my head while he prayed over me and the rosary. Honestly, I felt giddy after that =).

I Almost Choked for the sake of beauty

I'm currently taking Omega 3-6-9 giant capsules in hopes of improving my skin AND losing some weight(I did some research about it in the net).
After my meal at Professor Brawn's Cafe at Velocity Mall this evening, I took the first capsule (I take 2 capsules after each meal) and swallowed (with water, of course) without tilting my head back. The capsule got stuck in my throat for about a second. Considering the size of the capsule, it's a bit scary!
Please please work, you choker you.

Go to $%#&, You %^$#% @#$%^&*

Once again, I've had an encounter with a stupid %r*t.

For some reason, I really don't jive with these $ri&#$% nationals. These people who think they're oh-so-mighty, oh-so-great. They think everyone is under them. These sarcastic crazy bozos who should be taught a lesson. Seriously.

This guy I spoke with is the worst so far. In my eight years of being in customer service (not in call center), this is the first time I've heard the word 'fucking blah blah' countless times. This jerk obviously has a lot of damaged cells in his brain. He would shout, and then calm down and then shout again. One instance, he was insisting that a remittance should've been today, April 14 (he's raising his voice at this point). I told him it was done yesterday, April 13. And he shut up for a few seconds until he found something else to be angry about again.

(To clarify, this worthless being is complaining about something which happened 3 weeks ago, while his account was still being handled by someone else. Last week, his account was suddenly tagged to my RM, and thus the burden was passed on to us. )

After a while, he went on giving me a lecture on how to do customer service and said 'why am i paying you? even a dog can do better'.

I did tell him that I will hang up the phone if he didn't change his language. I told him a couple of times. Reason why I didn't was because I knew he'd call again, and the cycle just wouldn't stop.

Anyway, the crazy thing was, after the telecon and about an hour after, when my RM sent an email to him saying she was aware that he spoke with me and we did effect the transfer (just like what I told him verbally), he sent an email saying things like 'Thank you (RM's name) and (me), I owe you one."

Bloody bastard.

The Biggest Loser Singapore

There's still one dude in the office at about 10pm+...Over there, at the far end Even my soya milk has turned into beancurd...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aargh! That's me! No-life loser who works till 11pm. (but usually on Monday nights only)

1st runner up is the the guy who sits near our pantry. He's been working late too.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since this is my blog, I'd like to vent out these questions and thoughts:
1.) Hey stupid, how come you're so much 'stupider' now?
2.) Hey semi-deaf? you're now completely deaf. What happened, was there a blast to your head or something?
3.) What happened to your eyes that now you can no longer read? What happened to your legs that now you are unable to walk? What happened to your hands that you can no longer do things on your own?
4.) Ah, this one would sound better in Tagalog. Tanga ka ba or bobo? (are you stupid or dumb?)
5.) If you're not going to do anything productive, then just shut up.
6.) If looks could kill, well, there would be a lot of bodies to clear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, I've released my thoughts. Perhaps a few years from now I would look back and laugh at all these. But right now, it's just not funny.

Reebok Play Dry shirt. Down to HKD60 from original price of HKD149.
