Nihon Class

I'm taking Basic Japanese Class at Ikoma Language School, which is located near my office (Shaw House).
It's every Wednesdays, from 650-950 pm (3 hours! My brain can't take it).
I've just about memorized the Hiragana, but there's more characters to learn, and my brain is complaining already.

It will complain some more, because I'm going to review Japanese characters and words tomorrow, during my flight to Philippines. (Gak! It's also a 3-hour plus ride).
Oyasuminasai!

Finally, I Can Relax

I'm on leave starting today!
I went thru the usual long leave preparation - I rushed to clear all my things so that hopefully, during my absence, no untoward case or issue will pop up.
I broke my 'leaving the office at 12 midnight' record, because today, I left the office at 1:15am. Got home about 7 mins later via 6 dollar cab, relaxed a bit by watching catch-up tv at xin.msn, and started packing at 2+.
After packing, I showered and watched some Filipino catch up tv too.. and now it's 5am! I got to sleep!
My flight is at 1035am, via Cebu Pacific.

Yami Peach, Melted Yoguru

After clearing my desk, I was finally able to enjoy my peach yami yogurt. I prefer the natural flavour though.
On a separate note, this was my melted yoguru yogurt with mango toppings. Sigh, it's a gift to myself for a stressful day (Friday, after my late lunch), and by the time I opened the lid, it was already melted...

Before and After

My desk has been a mess for the past few weeks, and the higher the pile, the lazier I get to tidy it up.
But there's a limit to the messiness. It's already become a sight for sore eyes. Today, I bought desk organisers.

After my oatmeal dinner, plus some internet surfing, I started cleaning my desk and.....
Cha-da! This is the result. Still cluttered (cannot be helped, I just have too many things), but atleast it's organised clutter. Hehehe.

Too Much Stress

Too much stress will force you to do things to cheer yourself up, including corrupting these innocent stuffed toys.

Ei, it's not mine okay. I just saw this while walking pass one of my colleagues' table.

Tung Lok Seafood, Orchard Central

Fish maw soup. Thick and creamy. Quite nice.

Sambal kangkong - tasty and not overly spicy.
Prawn with wasabi mayo - ordinary. the prawn wasn't very crunchy and wasabi was too mild.

Fried chicken with keropek. The keropek was stiff as a corrugated box. Such a waste of my calorie count, hrmp. Chicken skin was very flavourful and crispy, but for the meat, I have no idea because I didn't eat it. (It's against my blood type diet.)
Total bill :SGD37/person for pax of 3, inclusive of fresh orange juice per person

Blood Type Resto, Take 2

Spelt bread and mushroom soup. It's a bit too bland for me, and that's saying a lot, because I don't really eat salty food.
My miscellaneous purchases for the night. Lemon and nut (forgot which nut) flourless cake (slighlty drier than the usual cake, but it's good enough) and chocolate chip cookies.

5 pieces of oxtail and brown rice. I tried to be feminine and ate it using the fork and knife. On the 4th piece, I gave up and used my hands to eat. Dang, using the utensils was so taxing and eating with my hand brought out the taste and stickiness of the meat. Mmmm yummy.

The warm dessert. So-so.

I went back to My Type resto last Tuesday night, this time with my friend.

They've changed their menu, and my fish curry was no longer in the list (sad face).
We both ordered the set meal (SGD25++), which came with soup, main dish and dessert.

My friend ordered the fish (snapper if I remember correctly) and penne, while I ordered the oxtail.

All in all, for me it's still a good meal.

Would I go back again? Yep, I would.
Would I recommend this resto? Yep, I would BUT only if the person I'm referring to believes in the blood type diet.

8 Dollar Super Buffet!!!

I went along with my friends to Plush at Balestier (ID firm), and afterwards, decided to have dinner at Quality Hotel, which was also at Balestier. Since they were already closing the dinner buffet, we waited for their supper buffet instead.

They don't accept reservation. So we had to wait and queue up.

They have more than 10 dishes to go with their porridge, plus ice cream and do-it-yourself ice kachang dessert.

Egg, cabbage with tanghun, steamed egg and sliced fish to go with my plain porridge

I created my fruit cocktail with milk dessert.

The crushed-ice maker! Marvelous. The ice is smooth and perfect.

See.. total bill is SGD20.25 for 3 people.
If you're in the Balestier area, this is a totally worth-it place to go to.

Oh, don't think that the food in my plate are the only dishes. There's quite a few I didn't eat because of my diet: Beef stew, prawn, chicken fillet, chicken porridge.. and some other dishes that I could no longer recall.

Surfin

A few weeks back, Velocity Mall installed this surfing simulator.

If it's a private thing, I would've tried. But since it's in the atrium, there's no way I will try it, given my lack of balance.

Penang Laksa

Yahoo! I thought I could never eat laksa again because of my 'no coconut milk and no seafood' diet, but my friend introduced me to another laksa variation - penang laksa! It has sardines, noodles, veggies in a sour soup base that doesn't use coconut milk. They throw in half a lime for you to add that 'tang'.

I like it! I like that guilt-free feeling of eating something good for my body (Sardines is a highly beneficial food me, nutrition wise). Plus, it's tasty too.
This is at basement 4 of ION, in one of the stalls in the food hall (not inside the food court).

Eeeew... so un-feminine (warning: contains picture and gross words)

I think this was about two weeks ago..

I went inside one of the toilet cubicles in our office, sat down, was doing my thing, looked up and saw a used-up pantyliner stuck on the cubicle wall!

Some people do that with their boogers, apparently some girls (or just this girl) does the same thing with their pantyliners.
The weird thing is, how come it was so far from the toilet bowl? Maybe if it's stuck to the wall nearest to the toilet bowl, it would've been a bit more understandable. But from the distance, this girl must have stretched her arm just to stick that liner onto the wall which was further from the tissue dispenser.
Note: beside the toilet bowl, there's a covered trash can for sanitary pads/ liners and tissue.

All in a Day's Work

A workday has come to an end...

My 'to do' checklist. But, these were not the only thing I did ya, these were just the items that I needed to specifically remind myself (the more important ones), the others were in my brain, and other things were done on a reactive basis (Relationship manager's request, client's request, phone calls with client, walk-in clients and etc etc etc)
These are my 'to do' things for the next day. Items for processing, submitted instructions for monitoring... and yes, I agree with you, my desk is a mess.

So Many Things to Post, Too Lazy to Write

I've been pretty lazy the past days. I wrote in on Monday and did these on the next days:

Tuesday- ate at the Blood Type restaurant and was too lazy to write when I got home
Wednesday- sumimasen, I had my Nihon class which started from nana p.m. till ju p.m.
Thursday - just plain lazy
Friday - watched catch up shows at xin.msn till about 2+am
Saturday - had Saturday duty in the morning, did OT from 12p till 430p, watched Prince of Persia with my friends and watched catch up shows again at xin.msn (Title: Precious babes. Quite nice.)

Monday Shopping

Salmon Fish Skin

Tailored shorts with red belt from G2000. I brought 2 pairs of shorts into the fitting room, which I thought were size 38 and 36. I tried the size 38 and was a bit sad that it fit just right. Not tight, but not loose either. Then, I tried on the size 36 (a different design) and it fit also. I checked the label, and ah! They're both size 36. Yey! I'm really size 36. Not something to brag about, really, but it's good enough. I was also a size 36 at my thinnest, so it's not that bad ^^.

I saw this Guess item last Saturday at Orchard Central, and on Sunday, I was still thinking about it. So tonight, after I had my Subway dinner at ION, I decided to drop by and have a look again.
I told the guy that I'd like to see it, so he took it out from the glass cabinet. Without looking at the price, I said 'I'll take it'. He looked at me and said 'It's 45 dollars.'. Biatch, do you think I can't afford it? That's my first thought, but then again, he saw that I never did flip to see the price at the back, so maybe he just wanted to be proactive.

It's a pair of earrings. 1 heart separted into two, for each lobe. Ruby studded and gold plated.

I make myself whole, is what this thing stands for me. I must never depend on anyone else other than myself. If I want something, I have to get it on my own.
Cute! ^^

Ahh.. I went to ION to grab something to eat and buy the tailored shorts.. I ended up buying both the shorts and earrings.
It's only Monday, and I've already started shopping.

Oh No, What Did Hop and Bear Do?

Well, they're 'happy' stuffed toys, and Angry Bread just hates to see happy toys.

Souperlicious Saturday Lunch

Broccoli with cheese. Mmm, quite good.

The set meal I chose cost SGD9.90. SGD10.60 after GST. It comes with a small stick of foccacia bread, cookie, iced tea and half wrap. Not bad.

Aaaack! After I've wolfed down my wild mushroom wrap, I saw a red cube on the table. I thought it was red bell pepper, but no... it was tomato!!! The most forbidden veggie on my Blood Type Diet!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before I went to Millenia Walk for the Celebrity Car Boot Sale yesterday, I had my lunch at Souperlicous, Citylink first.

I think I like Souperlicious more than Soup Spoon, because there's a lot more choices.
