So Depressed

I was so depressed today that I didn't eat lunch. I was hungry, but I didn't have the appetite.

I thought 32 months of being in Singapore has made me a toughie.. perhaps for awhile I was, but now I realise that I'm not.

Ack.. I couldn't even finish this blog.. I'm going to bed early tonight.

My parents and brother are coming tomorrow night. Something to look forward to! But come Jan 2, when they go back to Manila, it would be another depressing day for me.

Backlog!

I have so many new pictures stored and ready to be uploaded, it's just that I'm so fatigued lately, and so sleepy and so lazy... nothing new really, except I just don't have enough discipline this week to push myself to blog.

Anyway, a reminder to self to blog the following:
- Joe and Dough
- Dinner and Dance
- Food pictures from last week onwards
- New shoes after 2 failed purchases (it's 3 inches high!)
- Christmas shopping
- Stress on understanding FX

Mrs. P.I.

I'm sad. My favorite Singapore series is over.

Mrs. P.I. (Private Investigator) has been very helpful in uplifting my spirits at night when I watch it via xin.msn.

I don't know why, but I found the show very endearing and easy to watch.

It only had a total of 20 episodes. Sniff. I want more!

Summary of My Recovery Food

In my moment of weakness tonight, I bought M&S chips in sea salt & balsalmic vinegar. I liked it, the vinegar wasn't too overpowering.
6 pcs of chicken wing from Bonchon 4 Fingers. Friday night dinner.

Jologs- Filipino food

Longsilog - longanisa (Filipino style sausages)+ sinangag (garlic fried rice)+ itlog (egg).
Doesn't look appetising, but it was very nice, especially with the vinegar.

Nasi Lemak at The Rock by the Well.. at Caltex Building (or wherever), Raffles Place
Bah, not worth the calories. Nasi Lemak at basement of Lucky Plaza is sooo much better.

Jatz light, super crispy and tasty, plus it's 97% fat free.
Suddenly missed gummi bears.. tried this brand and found it super nice.

At Taste Paradise on Monday evening. Dinner with a dear friend.
Yup, that's 68 per person for the dinner set.. Which came up to SGD86 nett. Ouchy on the pocket, but really great for my recovering body (I was still in the recovering stage on Monday)
The appetiser - foei gras with strawberry (texture was a bit gross, but taste was nice. I prefer pan seared foie gras), wasabi prawns with watermelon and scallop.

Tiny roe, but super crunchy and responds well to each bite. Mmm...

Sharksfin soup with freshly de-shelled crabs (big fresh chunks!)

Another shot for this lovely soup.

Fillet with mixed warm salad (I think it was cod fish..anyway, the salad was a bit too sourly sweet for me)

Fried rice.

Vanilla Mousse.. (more like panna cotta). This was yummy.

Additional order of dumpling with custard filling in warm ginger soup (very good for my throat)

Summary of my Sickie Food

Vegetable Soup (canned but supposedly contains no MSG)
Lovingly cooked porridge with egg, pork floss and spiced pork

Maggie Mee

Patiently cooked porridge with Century Bangus fillet, pickled lettuce and pork floss

I'm 99% Recovered!

Hello! I'm back!

A week after, and my body has recuperated nicely. *Clap clap* to my body's antibodies. They've done a marvelous job! I don't think what I got was the common flu virus, it's something slightly stronger, but my body was able to fight it!

I know, I'm really stubborn.. I've been told to take leave from work, but I just can't.. and the real reason is: *getting red in the face*... my things and files are super messy! I cannot bring myself to call in and tell my work partner to look at my things. It's too embarrassing! There. Now you know.

The solution for that would be to clean up my things.. but, this is so much easier said than done.
I can work efficiently, but I'm really not good with filing.

Anyway, the most important thing for now is, I'm back to my old self!
