Omelette du Fromage

Well, atleast it was supposed to be cheese omelette, but I think I didn't add enough milk to the egg mixture. Plus the oil was too hot that my egg had dark brown (almost burnt) 'skin'. Anyway, I can still cook it next time.
Omelette, toasted bread and freshly squeezed green and red apple juice.

My Bah Kut Teng with Mah-wan and Veggies

I cooked pork rib soup last Sunday.

I bought a pack of pork ribs (about 4 pcs for sgd3.60+), wintermelon, some leafy vegetables, and ready made porkball (as extender).

It was going well until I had the usual salt accident. The salt was still in its plastic wrap, so I slowly poured some into my soup, but instead of 'some', maybe about a quarter cup got into my soup!

I had to do some 'fixing', but I guess it turned out okay in the end.

Herbed Chicken (I will steal this recipe)

My friend cooked her baked herbed chicken last Tuesday.
It was sooo tasty that I couldn't stop at one piece (but I had to because it was prepared for next day's lunch).

Mii and Wii

Weeeeeeee, I played Wii fit last Sunday.

It was so cool and so funny that I was laughing almost the whole time!
(I'm the one in the center, with big round eyes)

Minced Chicken with Carrots and Potatoes

Last Sunday, I woke up a bit earlier (1145A?) to cook my lunch.

I went on to peel the carrots and potatoes using the knife (because I only realised that we didn't have a peeler when I got home Saturday night). Then, I started stir frying. I then realised another thing, we didn't have soy sauce! (That's why the dish was pale). So I used oyster sauce instead. I couldn't use much because I didn't want it to become too salty.

My friend bought some liempo from Lau Pa Sat and cooked Hot and Sour Soup.

With the remaining apple and oranges, I juiced it up for all of us to share (but it was just good enough for 2 people).

We had our Sunday lunch! =)

What The !?!?

It was about 1230pm this afternoon when my friend, my boss and myself decided to go out for lunch.

I went to the toilet for the first time today, did the usual things and aaaaaaack! what the f! My pants had a gaping hole in the middle! So big that a golf ball, or probably a tennis ball could shoot thru it.

When, how, and why, I have no idea. To think that I didn't even sit my usual 'gangster sit' (this is when I'm so stressed that I just prop one leg up on top of the trashcan beside me and I rest my left elbow on top of it while typing).

My friend and boss where waiting for me, so I couldn't bring myself to go back to the office to fix it up. So I just went on to lunch, all the time walking with my legs squeezed so tightly. Anyway, people don't usually look at other people's er pants, do they?

When I got back from lunch, I immediately went to my table to get a stapler. But I couldn't just take my stapler and walk to the toilet. It would look very suspicious. So, I placed it inside a brown envelope and went to the cubicle and stapled six times. (The 'stapling' sounded pretty weird though).
Thank goodness the staple wires didn't prick me.

My Baby Philip

Meet my juicer!... and electric kettle.
The glass on the left side is green apple juice, the one on the right is chinese pear juice.
Yummy!

First Perishable-Goods Grocery

For the first time since I came to Singapore, I bought ingredients for cooking! I plan to cook minced chicken with vegetables, fried luncheon meat, fried egg (and probably cheese omelette) and stir-fried lady's finger in the next couple of days.

Friday Night Dinner

I bought braised pork rice for take-away.

For some reason, I just wanted to go home and relax. So before 930p (I think), I was already home.

I watched 'Chef in Black' on the Asia Food Channel (AFC) while eating my rice meal.

Pre-Dinner

I went to Far East Plaza after my Mango shopping 'spree' because I knew they had a 'Gourmet Fair'.

Basically, it's the usual kiosks selling the usual food. But I still went and I ate a loooot of stuff - takoyaki balls, sausage prata, crispy chocolate & cheese pancake and braised pork rice.

Mango Sale

I was also at the Mango sale this evening. Teehee.

But I just bought a basic tee (I've been wanting to buy one for a long time, but I just couldn't accept that at sale price, it was still SGD15). Now it's below SGD10! Yipee!

Sanur & Tully's

I went out with a bunch of nice, intellectual and funny people last Saturday and had dinner at Sanur, an Indonesian resto at the 4th level of The Centerpoint along Somerset.

Food was interesting and enjoyable. I liked the chicken and the beef! That's saying a lot because I don't really like beef.

After that, we went to the new mall, OC mall, situated beside the Somerset MRT station. We all had our drinks at Tully's because there was a 1-for-1 promo. But since there were 7 of us, one didn't have a partner, so he just had Quiznos zesty steak sandwich instead (at 50% off). A bit weird since we just had dinner, but it made sense to me.

We were seated in front of the vending machine, with no one manning over it.. So one of our dinner/after-dinner-drink mate couldn't resist to get himself (er he asked someone else to do the deed) a half glass of grape soda.

Swollen Middle Finger

I have (cute and) stubby fingers, but it got even stubbier last Sunday after I carried some super heavy stuff.
I went back to my old flat to get some things that we weren't able to bring over to my new flat on our Saturday move.

I just couldn't believe how much stuff I had at my old room! It seemed like there were tons of things that had to be moved.

Anyway, I couldn't take the weight anymore so I took a taxi to Surrey Road.

But before I got to the taxi stand, I had to walk thru the long long path from the back gate of the condo to the street area.

My fingers were all red, swollen and shaky by the time I was seated in the taxi. Sniff.

Kiasu Shopaholics

Look at those teeny tiny ants lining up outside the Mango store along Scotts Road. (up to 50% off)

This was taken at about 9am in the morning either yesterday or Tuesday.

Wait... weren't they supposed to be at work? And wasn't I supposed to be in the office as well? Alright, I admit! I was late!

Anyway, that's only the side shot. The line actually goes longer round the corner towards the main entrance.
