Dizzy Dizzy Swoon Swoon

I've been feeling dizzy the past few days. I literally have to brace myself whenever I walk down the office stairs, and sometimes even when I'm seated, it's an effort for me to focus my eyes and my mind.

No, it's not because I'm in one of my diets.

I'm not sure if :
a. I'm overworked
b. 'Underslept'
c. Low blood
d. High blood
e. Stressed
f. I'm overthinking

I know... it's probably g. - all of the above!

This is not good, not good at all... Thank goodness it's the weekend, time to relax and clear my mind.

I just realised (again) that, I'm 28 and I still don't know who I am. Time for me to really really find myself this time.

Okay, it's my 'dizzy brain' talking.

My Coffeecat, Your Coffeecat, Our Coffeecat

After two months of waiting, I was finally able to visit Coffeecat in Davao.

Prior to my visit, I've actually been looking at their website->www.yourcoffeecat.com<- and it's amazing to see that the place was not only nice in the photos, but also on the actual location.

The place is bright, clean and chic. It's not like the usual coffee shop where it's crowded, dim-all over and noisy. There's an al fresco area, section with comfy couches, area with cool black and white chairs, and also an area with slightly dimmer lights for barkadas who would like to chill, or for couples who would like to enjoy each others company while sipping their lovely drinks.

They also have an interesting array of drinks which you don't usually see in other coffeeshops- hot drinks, Italian soda, avalanche, yogo smoothies (Visit their site and check out the menu)

I've been wanting to try their Yogo Smoothies (yogurt based smoothies),and that's what I ordered on my first visit. I tried their Mango Yogo, which was sweet and made me think of creamy mango shake. This is perfect for those who would like to have something sweet to end their meal, yet be guiltless when enjoying it (Because it's yogurt!).

I also had their orange poppy seed cake, which was quite nice because it had the crunchy seeds, sweet frosting and a cake base to balance out the taste and texture.

The next day, I was full from my lunch, so I was only able to order their iced tea. I loved the ice tea. Theirs was specially blended, with a hint of passionfruit that added the kick to my drink.

That evening, I went back again to try their green tea yogo. Now this one I truly loved. You can taste the yogurt, you can taste the green tea. Maybe for some, green tea is an acquired taste, but for me, it's great! I didn't feel any guilt from drinking it, I felt healthy, and I felt satisfied. Purrfect.

On my last day, I drank the chai latte. It's smooth and soothing. Plus, one of the biggest positive factor was, it didn't give me the palpitations (which I'm very prone to when I drink tea/coffee).

When you're in Davao, be sure to pop in at Coffeecat located at F. Torres Street.

Elvee Was Here There and Everywhere

My bag has been to a lot of places in just 4 days(although I was only able to take two pictures):
1.Changi Airport
2. Davao Airport
3. SM Davao
4. Bangkok Wok
5. Coffee Cat
6. Gaisano Mall
7. Eden Nature Park
8. Korean Resto
9. Office at Claymore Plaza, Singapore
8. Vivo City - GV Gold Class
Now she's back inside her own bag. Sheltered from harm until her next trip.

A Touching Gesture III

My fellow service officers and the whole South Asia team (where I'm in), gave me a mini 'surprise' birthday party last Friday, complete with cake.

Actually, I was not really 'surprised' because my table is near the pantry. So whatever action there is inside the pantry (ie preparation for the 'party' etc), I could practically hear it and see it at the corner of my eye.

Still, I was pretty touched because they took the time and effort to prepare a small gathering for me. And as I've mentioned, quite a number of people gathered in the pantry, which was overwhelming since I'm not used to being the center of attention.

One major giveaway was when one of the managers approached me and said the big boss wanted to talk to me in the pantry. It was a giveaway primarily because whenever the big boss wants to talk to me, she would just send me instant messages or simply go to my table. So his statement was weird and pretty obvious (even if I hadn't already known about it).

My Birthday Lunch

I had my birthday with one of my closest buddies in the office.

Since ION Orchard Mall just opened, we decided to celebrate my birthday there.

We ate at AOBA Hokkaido Ramen. I ordered for the seafood ramen, but I kinda liked the soup of my friend's ramen more...But all in all my bowl of ramen was okay, and the best thing was, I was able to eat noodles on my birthday! Long life for me!

A Touching Gesture II

Awww I love my flatmates cum friends. I was chatting (via internet) with my brother and mother (who just finished singing happy birthday) a few minutes past 12 midnight when they suddenly approached my room singing happy birthday, with a cake and a lit-up candle.

I'm so touched because they had to wait for 12midnight (and probably getting worried, because at 1120, I still wasn't home)and they had to go to this place to especially buy the sans rival cake.

Happy Birthday!!!

To the most important person in my life, ME!

A Touching Gesture

Awww I love my friend... she knew I haven't eaten lunch yet, this was around 530p, so she prepared this cup noodles for me. Prior to that, she's been telling me to take my lunch. But stubborn stubborn me, I still chose to enslave myself to work.

Knowing myself, I would've allowed my stomach to keep on growling (no longer just grumbling) if she didn't prepare the cup noodles for me.

Watch the Magic

Ion Man

Ion Mall (Orchard) is finally open!

I can't believe I'm excited about a mall opening.

I went there with my friend during our lunch break. It's impressive! I mean some of the stores are so nice. Like Nippon Ya, which I overheard, literally translates to 'Japan Store'.

Then there's also Dunkin Donuts, Royce and this stall which sells burgers with a twist - they use white 'siopao' buns, it looked so neat and cute!

All the high end brands are also inside the new mall, LV, Cartier, Miu Miu, Armani and etc etc etc.

My Favorite Grapes

I love Kyoho Grapes, it's super duper wonderful. It's sweet, juicy, and it's got this chapagne-y taste. Mmmmm...

Well, to be brutally frank, I've tasted it only once (free taste inside Isetan Grocery), but it was enough to leave a deep impression.

Because, my gosh, it's 14.90 per small styro-pack! How can I possibly bring myself to buy that?

Someday...

Wait. It says it's in season now.. maybe I should buy next week, when I come back from my weekend vacation in Davao. Else I'd have to wait for the next season...

A gift for myself. Wait again, I've just given myself a Coach bag. But I deserve to eat good stuff right? But 14.90 is already enough to buy me a complete meal somewhere. Nevermind me, it's just my humble-thrifty-self talking to my spoiled-self.

I bet humble-thrifty-self would win again.

SGD1.90 Laksa

I finished my shopping tonight at Daiso, Plaza Singapura and was on my way to Saybons (the delicious crepe stall), when I saw Wang's Cafe's very attractive signboard - SGD1.90 Local Delights (for Laksa, Mee Siam and Mee Rebus).
Normally, these promos would have fine prints, like for instance: SGD1.90 only (on your second order).
So to be sure, I asked the cashier first. When she said "yes, it's 1.90", I ordered one for dine in and sat at the table behind the post (didn't want people to see me).

Whoa, the soup was totally red, meaning it would be super spicy. (Mmm could it be that they intentionally spiced it up because I didn't even order any drink?).
It wasn't a great meal, but it was enough to fill my tummy.
