The Long Bar, Raffles Hotel

I like the layout of the bar very much.

In fact, I'm very impressed! (as if it matters to anyone).

There's a 'resto-in-a-beach-resort' feel to it. The ceiling is high, which makes the room feel bigger. There were fans hanging on the ceiling, and it's actually automated. It swings back and forth, giving a soothing effect. Then, the chairs are made of rattan (a type of wood), which adds to the 'beach' feel.

When you walk around, you will feel and hear the crunching sound on your feet. Which makes you feel like you were walking on the beach. Actually, those crunchy things are the peanut shells.

Each table has a box full of roasted peanuts (Still in its shell. In the Philippines, it's called Maning sung-sung). When you finish eating, you just throw the shells onto the floor. Super nice idea! Your table is clean, and then the shells add a touch of 'nature' inside the bar.

Then there's also the band singing in front, which creates a lively atmosphere.

Count how many times I used the word 'feel'. Well, it's because when you step into the bar, you actually feel a lot of things. Very creative. Very well planned. Bravo.
