Peony Jade at Keppel Club

Hairy Crabs

Lunch buffet at SGD33 nett/per person. 1030am-230pm
Most dishes must be ordered, but some are on the buffet table like: congee, fried dumplings, carrot cake, and dessert

The desserts are not okay. Doesn't have the quality.
Fried stuff on the buffet table. Wonton, sweet potato, gyoza-like thing, egg tart and congee. Only the congee was good.

Char-siew pastry. Okay, onto the next one...

Spinach in superior stock. Taste like my home-cooked spinach (which is, overcooked)

Har gaw and scallop. Okay.

Custard bun. Okay.. but it's still Taste Paradise for me. The custard filling inside is too sweet, and for me, it tasted like white chocolate. The pao itself is not white and it's a bit dry.

Prawn hor fun. Just okay.

Prawn with seaweed, and behind is prawn with mayo. Good but uuuugh, oily.

The trio- roasted duck (not nice, it's too gamey), crispy chicken (I think it was the previous night's leftover chicken. Too dry and it didn't taste fresh) and spareribs (this is good and tender)

Sio mai.. I rather like Wai Ying's or Wan Chai's siomai more (Philippine Chinese fastfood)

Steamed wonton in hot and sour sauce. Okay.

Another order of the custard bun

2 buns

Oozing with the sweet stuff. Oh, I like Taste Paradise's buns because you get to taste some saltiness from the eggyolk of salted egg. Mmmmm...

Soup spoon has its own cradle. How cute!

Perfect.

Considering it's a buffet, the price is relatively okay.. but food-wise.. Taste Paradise or East Ocean (at Shaw) is better. And, between the two, East Ocean is better.
