Friday Dinner at Tonkichi

Hire (Pork Fillet)
Rosu (Pork Loin)

Sesame seeds. DIY tonkatsu sauce. Make dik-dik (ground into powder) the sesame seeds until the fragrance tickles your nose.
Dik-dik (This is a Filipino term)
Add some sauce
There you go...
Chadah! The fragrant tonkatsu sauce. Sesame seeds add the extra 'yum' factor of the sauce.
Hire and Rosu set. With this popular set, you ge the pork fillet and pork loin. Protein overload!
The pork fillet is suuuuuuuuper tender! My teeth loves it.
A mound of cabbage (without any dressing, so I added the tonkatsu sauce). Meeeh-meeeeh. I felt like a goat after eating all those veggie shreds.

Tonkichi is located at Isetan, Orchard.

We waited for about 45 mins to get our table on a Friday night and spent 30 per person for the set meal. Tonkatsu, rice, miso soup and green tea.

I suppose it's worth it. I like it better than Tampopo, who's also known for their tonkatsu.
