Wooooow! Sale Everywhere!

Cafeteria IL Lido

Four cheese pizza.

Spaghetti Bolognese
***********************************************************************************
My friend and I tried this Italian resto located at the basement of Suntec City (Near the fountain of wealth).
I saw this in 8 Days Magazine and decided to give it a try.
It's an Italian resto made affortable to the masses as there's no dishes above SGD20.
I would recommend the four cheese pizza, but the spaghetti bolognese is not worth the life's punishments that I'm going to get (remember, the fortune teller told me that I'm not allowed to eat any beef).
But then again, the menu is pretty limited so there's not much other options..
Forgot how much much the bill was, but I don't think it exceeded 20/person.

Breaking Down My Messy Thoughts

* I can't wait for Monday, so that I can start my diet. It has to start on Monday, because I can't start midweek, my system will reject the idea.

* I would like to be able to wear my old slacks comfortably. Right now, I don't dare try them on for fear that it might not fit anymore!

* My eyes are tired, it's not as clear as before. But I can't bring myself to sleep early because I'd feel like I'm not living anymore. It would just be work work work. Surfing the net at night is my way of 'living'.

* Grrr, I think there may be something wrong with my tooth as it's becoming sensitive lately

* Should I eat a bag of chips tonight (even if I'm sleepy)? Because I'll be on diet on Monday and I won't be able to eat it anymore.

* I hope there would be miracle and *tooot* and *tooot* will *tooooot*.

* I'd like to watch Avatar tomorrow. Maybe not in 3D, because I get dizzy when I wear those 3D glasses

* I will be inflating my exercise ball tomorrow. Should I buy a medicine ball? Or use improvised 'weights', like water-filled bottles, maybe?

* Should I drop by the office tomorrow to clear up some things? I'm afraid if I wait till Monday, my to do's will pile up. Plus, the 2 bargain Korean shirts I bought from Far East are in the office. I'd like to get my hands on them.

* Time is running a bit slow tonight... it's only 11:25

* I'm going to close my virtual cafe soon.. actually, I should've done it Monday or Tuesday...but I guess I've grown attached to it, I can't seem to bring myself to delete the application yet.

*My face is itchy. Why the %^@! is my skin breaking out again..!? Geez! I feel fat, I feel like my hair is super messy, I feel bad at work, the last thing I need is my skin to breakout to bring my self-esteem to rock bottom!

* I'm sleepy

* My sensitive tooth is being sensitive again.

* Ouchy.. I better go brush my teeth now.

Feast to End the Bad Week

Fish dumpling soup
Chicken wing with lime and chili

Mussels in chili sauce (slightly tough for my baby tooth, so it took time for me to chew)

Yummy kangkong and equally yummy stingray

Cockles. It's my first time to eat them from the shell. You have to gently pry open the shells, and prick it with a toothpick to remove (cheap version of escargot?)

I'm not a cockles person, but I ate quite a few also. Dipped them in chili with lime sauce.

Fruit Jelly. I don't know why, but I've always liked this dessert. I find it comforting.

Sinful Chendol

What better way to end a bad week than to eat a feast?

Do you see the connection? You shouldn't, since there's no connection whatsoever.

My office chums decided to eat at Newton Circus tonight. It's a popular hawker centre, especially for the tourists. For me, it's the perfect location, because it's just a 10-minute-slow-walk away from my place.

Indeed, what a feast we had:
BBQ Wings SGD9.60
Fish Dumpling Soup SGD5
Sugarcane Juice SGD6
Main Dishes SGD30
(Stingray, kangkong, mussels)
Cockles SGD5
Longan Beancurd(hot) SGD2.20
Chendol & Fruit Jelly SGD4.50
1 cup rice -free-
Total: SGD62.30/4 = SGD15.58 (For a feast, this is so cheap!)

HIF

Hallelujah it's Friday!

This week hasn't been a good one for me.

Even if I scrap off Monday (which was a really bad day), it's still pretty messy.

My things are messy, my head is messy, instructions are messy.

Really, it's one of those weeks where nothing goes right at work.

It's not like there's any major issues or complaints, but those forgotten ones somehow find their way back and all the work are overlapping each other, which makes it hard to focus on what to do first. It doesn't help that I'm tensed about the people around me.

I feel like something or someone might just suddenly explode and blame me about things. I'm becoming really paranoid, and it's not healthy at all.

Good Comfort Food

My friend and I went to ION after work.

Nothing specific to buy, just wanted to roam and look around.

We decided to eat something - Bonchon Fried Chicken and Gyoza.

It's a super nice combination of comfort food: Chili wings, soy sauce drumlets, herbed fries (with a lot of different sauces to dip into), steamy gyoza.. Mmmm

Extreme

I've been told before that I'm an 'extreme' kind of person.

It's either I really like you, or I don't like you.

It's either I'm on a strict diet, or I'm stuffing myself like a Christmas turkey.

It's either I'm super stingy, or I'm in a buy-anything mood.

Well, tonight I was on the extreme side of NOT dieting and buying anything.

I bought 2 small tubs of popcorn (buttterscotch and honey mustard), 1 pack with 6 small packets of potato chips from M&S, 1 pack of chiplets in salt& vinegar from M&S ( not recommended!) and magazine ( I don't like this issue at all).

I really don't need these, because I'm supposed to be on a diet! But I just couldn't help it.
Next week I'll be on my extreme dieting (weekdays only).
