Salmon and Broccoli Dinner

I was in the mood to cook, so I went to the grocery to buy the ingredients earlier tonight.

I stir-fried some broccoli and pan fried a salmon fillet encrusted with oregano, parsley, rosemary and garlic salt. Yum.

So Feminine, So Not Me

But I love it nonetheless. Bought this pair from Mitju, Vivo City last Tuesday night.
It's super feminine, with the lace and the suede at the back. Plus, it's rounded instead of pointed, which is something new for me since I'm usually wearing sandals, peep toe or pointed high heels.

Yey to New Bedsheets

The picture on the bedsheet package.
My bed. Doesn't look as fluffy as the one in their packaging picture, but still good enough for me.

With Pooh, Hop and Bear.

I finally bought a new set of bedsheets from Seahorse last Sunday.
I had to, because the garters on my other bedsheet has lost its elasticity, which means the bedsheet moves along with me. I hate that feeling! Bedsheets should be hugging the bed tightly.

I Love Yigloo

Cookies and cream frozen yogurt in takehome pack (sgd7.50) -> for takehome pack, they will give you 3 small containers for the toppings. Nice!
Too bad they didn't have the strawberry yogurt that day (which is really good), but cookies and cream was very nice as well. Not too sweet, just right.
They gave me 3 spoons, but the whole tub (it's quite a small tub, mind you) is just for me. Consumed in 2 days.

Too bad they only have one branch, which is at Vivo City.

Bikram Yoga

I had my first taste of slow death via Bikram Yoga.

I've never tried yoga before, because I enjoy fast workouts more (kickboxing, jogging, tabatha exercise), but I am curious why people love it.

My friend asked me to try it out, since she has a membership with Bikram yoga and can refer a friend for a free trial.

I knew it was going to be tough, because I don't have much balancing skills, and stretching skills, and patience, and everything a person needs when doing yoga.

But, it was way tougher than I thought. Yoga itself is difficult, add in the heated surroundings and wow, it's a bit too much. At least for me.

While people were standing straight with one leg, I was semi hopping about with one leg while trying to maintain balance. There was one time, we were asked to sit in a Japanese sitting position, then had to raise our butt, touch our hips, and lean back as far as possible. Once settled, lean even farther back with our hands touching our feet.

While people were in that backward position, I found myself almost falling forward and face down to the mat. Crazy! I was getting dizzy.

One thing perked me up after the class though, 1.5 hours of Bikram yoga burns 880 calories!

Happy Birthday!!!

My gift: had this particular gift in mind for the past few days, but was finally able to buy it tonight.

I wrapped it myself, and realised that my gift-wrapping skills need a lot of honing. Everything is so uneven, from the paper which I cut, to the folds that I.. er.. folded.

Today is my favorite RM's birthday.

Honestly, we've been thru a lot. I've been working with him since day 1, when I joined the Bank. First few months, or even the first year was tough because I was still adjusting to a lot of different things - processes, surroundings, work culture, language (more of accent).

It's not always smooth sailing, but after the first year, everthing became so much better.

As the months go by, I realised how much he cares for me. He would consistently buy food and things for me whenever he goes overseas, and he would always offer me whatever food that he himself is eating. He would take me out to lunch and would ask me how I am. These are the more important things to me. At the end of the day, it's not just about work, but the emotions involved.

There was one time when I faced a certain issue in the office, and though he wasn't involved in that case, he spoke to one of the heads on my behalf, tried to think of ways/reasons to acquit me.. After listening to him, I heard the boss told him to stay out of it (not in a stern way, but more of a warning). I was really touched, and right now when I think about it, it still bring tears to my eyes. For someone to fight for me, it says so much...

I care for him as well. It's not everyday that I meet someone who appreciates me and goes out of his way to show it.

Thank you sooo much.. Your actions, your deeds, they will always be in my heart.

Spot the Difference

Before
After

Before (those packages on the floor are my shopping bags and things I brought back home from the office.)

After. Significantly less paper bags. And that white one will disappear as well, once I've ironed all the clothes inside it.
