Light bulb!

I've been having problems with my earrings and bracelets. I have a lot which have accumulated from way way back. I used to like buying these small thing when I was still in Manila, and since there's a lot of them, it gets too messy that I end up just using the same earrings and bracelets everyday.

Yesterday I went to this discount shop at Square 2, which is behind Velocity Mall.

I was going to buy a small 2 layered plastic 'drawer', but then saw this pill box. *light bulb*! I can use the pill box to store my earrings instead. Each box would be home to a pair of earrings. Brilliant!

Now they're neat and orderly, but my guess is, I'd still be using the same pair of earrings everyday!

My friend and I had our Saturday dinner at Crystal Jade Ginseng Chicken Restaurant at Centerpoint, Somerset.

Yummy! I love ginseng chicken!

I got the regular cup, so that I can choose two flavours: Banana (too banana-ish) and cheesecake (yum). The serving is quite large though, that it becomes too sweet in the end.. but oh, I guess it's meant for sharing. Heehee

Basement 3 at 313 Somerset is finally open. It's mainly food in this level, and I love it! Though yesterday, I wasn't hungry so I only got to try Maggie Moo's ice cream.

There's a lot of other food choices too, and I can't wait to try them on my non-diet days.

One thing I noticed though, is that there's an area where it already smells stuffy, like used oil. Bleeech. I hope it doesn't become as bad smelling as the Fish & Co/ Burger King area at ION.

I named him Miso (because it's brown)! I was thinking of Ferrero at first, but thought it was too commercialised, so I chose Miso instead (for Miso soup)

It's a gift from a dear couple. Gift, you ask? Yup! It's a gift, and I couldn't even explain why I'm so lucky!

It's a dream come true, since I've been thinking of getting a new phone, although I kept arguing with myself if I need it, since I don't text much anyway.

It came at a most unexpected time, and I couldn't be happier!

I was never the nationalistic type of person. I had complaints about the Philippines (well still do... but read on..) but when I started working and living here in Singapore, I realised that I really do love the Philippines.

I remember when I was young, My dad and I were walking to my school to catch the flag ceremony when a guy snatched his gold medallion necklace and pushed him to the ground. My dad bounced back up, and we turned around and actually chased the snatchers (there were 2 of them and they ran towards different directions). A civilian waiting for a jeepney (a form of public transportation) actually helped us chase and tackle the guy!

Anyway, I realised that a part of me is very much pro-Philippines.

Last week, the Singapore Art Museum had a Filipino event. I was there and I can't help but feel happy and proud. They showcased some Filipino products, some customs like the ati-atihan dance and Santa Cruzan parade. 7,107 Flavours (a restaurant serving Philippine dishes) was also there, selling some of the most famous Pinoy dishes like Kare kare (which a caucasian Female actually asked the waiter for), adobo, bicol express, pancit habhab.

There was also a free performance by Noel Cabangon from 9-12midnight (Which I didn't get to watch . *sniff*). I knew his song 'Kanlungan' from way way back, but I never knew he's the singer. While I was there in the afternoon, they were doing some sound checks and practising their song line-up. Wow, he's fantastic! His voice was cool and smooth and very pleasant to the ears. I wish he'd have a concert again!

I'm sort of like committing suicide now. I've been munching on chicharon (fried pork rind) for the past 10 mins. I finished up the Nunie Chicharon with laman (with meat) which I started eating on Thursday night, then opened another Chicharritos pack - all rind garlic & vinegar flavor.

I feel a bit giddy , the oil is probably rushing thru my blood streams now.

5 more mins of munching and I'll seal the bag.

This means I'd be on a major diet again next week.
