Time In, Time Out

Time in, 9:04am.

Time out, 6:14pm. Woohoo!

Once Upon a Time...

It was Friday, around 1pm, when little miss banker (LMB) ventured to Plaza Singapura to have her lunch. There, she went straight to Saybons to savour her favourite crepe of ham, cheese and egg, together with broccoli cheddar soup.

As she still has a slight sore throat, she opted to get the banana as the third instalment to the set meal (instead of iced tea..mmm)
She waited about 7 minutes...

Before the lovely crepe arrived.

However, the egg yolk was no longer runny. Darn it. LMB likes it runny.
After eating, LMB dragged herself back to the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station. She arrived in the office about 10 minutes past 2pm, and she stayed there till 614pm.

Stubborn Girl

Sad sad sad. and irritated.

*******************************************************************
So there I was, at Vivo City, on a Friday night.

I was there to look for an earring holder for my friend. I ended up buying a pair of shoes for myself. In the wrong size.

I was walking towards Harbour Front mall when I saw the big poster with '18 dollars!' on it. Wow, 18 dollars for a pair of URS shoes. I need black shoes.

I went in, and saw two pairs I liked. The other one was a size too big, and since it was just so-so, I let it go.

But there was another pair, Elle pumps (which were being sold inside that URS store) , that I really wanted!

They only had size 36 and 38, and I'm a consistent size 37. Stubborn girl that I am, I still insisted on buying. I planned to just buy those heel stickies to tighten up the shoes.

I went to Watson's afterwards to buy 3 pairs of stickies and went to the toilet to try it on. I have low eq, I couldn't wait until I get home.

Aaaaargh! It's still too loose.

Now I have no choice but to sell off the shoes, or give it away. I just don't want to see them anymore.

Sniff. I liked that pair...

TLC

Still feeling a bit under the weather on Thursday, so I cooked myself a pot (small pot) of porridge.

Bought a can of spiced pork from Cold Storage
Scrambled eggs (2 eggwhites and 1 egg yolk), spiced pork, and pork floss

Chadah! Taiwan-style porridge.
TLC from me to me. ^-^

Thanks me! You're welcome me!

Sick

I'm getting sicker by the day.. my neck has been really stiff since last week, but I thought it's because of my monthly visitor. But the visitor has gone, and my neck is still painful.

My throat has been very dry and scratchy since yesterday, my bones are aching, and I get cold easily.. especially when I pass thru that freakingly cold stretch before One Raffles Quay.

My hands are quivering too, and sometimes I feel my heart is not beating as fast as it should.

I really wanted to eat porridge tonight, but the thought of cooking a pot for about 20 minutes just didn't sit well with me so I bought Campbell's light pasta and vegetable soup instead (which is supposedly msg free).

How I miss my mom's caring presence!

PS.. Nope, I won't be going on sick leave. I never do.. and I don't know why I can't bring myself to take leave. Sigh. This guilty feeling. I'm always guilty, always afraid to make other people's lives harder. Darn it.

I Love Eggs

Monday dinner: Fried eggs! Yummy!
It's two eggwhites and one eggyolk.

Special square design.
Seems like I couldn't cook proper fried egg? Nope. I deliberately poked the eggyolk.
When I was younger, I liked it sunny side up and runny.. but nowadays, I want the eggyolk to be 90% cooked such that halfway thru the cooking process, that's when I poke the yolk and let it ooze out. Then, I flip the egg over, let it cook for a few seconds and then turn the fire off.

With catsup! Mmmm... simple joys of life for me.

Another shot. Mmm...

Big O

Last Sunday's dinner with my dear friend
Big O at Paragon

I find this amusing. Look at the face!

Their 'recommended' icon is so cute. It's the mini version of the chef above.

Hee hee

Ah... I forgot to rotate the picture. Anyway, too late to do that now.. too lazy to redo.

Mozzarella stick. It's too hard, as in if you press it with a fork wrongly and slice it using a knife, it might just shoot out and hit somebody's head.

I miss the mozzarella stick in Manila, forgot where, but I know Manila offers better mozzarella sticks.

My bacon-wrapped chicken. It's okay, chicken in barbeque sauce.

and there's a lot of pieces too.
