More Than Just Being Lazy

I got myself an electric toothbrush. It's not because I'm being lazy, but more for hygiene purposes.

The consistent bristle movements should be more beneficial for my teeth that my manual rush-rush brushing technique.

It's a bit expensive though at SGD39.90 from Watson's.

In Preparation...

In preparation for my career move:
Black leather(ette) wedge. Something you don't see everyday.
It's a gift from my colleague, who bought this shoe and realised the next day that her feet doesn't agree with the size. Good for me!

Now I just need to buy 2 pairs of heels instead of 3 - 1 black stiletto-ish shoe from GG5 and perhaps a pair of red heels.

Bought these office supplies from Daiso - Notebook, plastic case and stickies. The pens were from my HK trip last May.

Ahhhh! I love and hate this site!

It has catch-up tv, which allows me to watch all the tv shows I like.. lately I've been following 'Love' and 'Phua Chu Kang' and 'The Pupil'.

It's taking so much of my time though and making my 20/20 and 20/15 vision a bit blurry.

Dim Sum Day

Taste Paradise, ION Orchard

My friends, in a hurry to tick our dimsum orders, because the manager told us it's already time for them to take 'last orders', and we just arrived! (345pm)

Jasmine tea

Pickled don't-know-what, but it's good.

First one that came out- Xiao long bao with foie gras. This is soooo goood. It's fragrant and has a delicate taste.

Fried beancurd with egg white salad. Yummy.

Ho fan. Also very good.

Cute custard bun. Soo good that we ordered another one.

Crab meat dumpling. Too bland. Skippable dim sum.

That's taro puff behind. Taro puff was quite soft and easy to eat, but for me, the taste wasn't spectacular.

The round one behind was the mushroom and olive dumpling (okay), and the dumpling-shaped one was prawn with spinach something (also okay).

Oozing with the custard and eggyolk mixture. Ahh, so so good.

Pan fried xiao long bao. The dough was too thick and taste was just so-so. Skip this as well.

Scallop ho-fan, and behind was the prawn ho-fan and siumai. They were okay, but not extraordinary. My siumai crumbled when I tried to get it with my chopsticks.

My friends had the urge to eat dim sum , and since they weren't able to book us for the dim sum buffet at Mandarin hotel, they suggested Taste Paradise instead.

We sort of had a buffet as well, because we ordered quite a lot. Everything tasted heavenly at first, but by the time we finished, everything tasted the same. That's how much we ordered. It had the same effect as having a buffet. So much food in the stomach that the last few bites were already forced.

Just the same, I had great memories of the first few heavenly bites. Mmmm.. I'll definitely go back to try the other dim sum selections.

Total bill was SGD87 for 3 people.

Comfort Scent

That strip still holds some Ralph Lauren 'Silver' fragrance, which I sprayed at Sephora, ION.

It's my favorite scent, a very musky and comforting scent.

Friday the 13th Dinner

Bought my dinner from Pontian Wonton Noodles at Far East Plaza. I didn't have much food choices, because most food stalls were already closed.

It should've come with char siew, but they ran out of it, so it's just fried wonton (very good), noodles and soup with 2 pieces of boiled wonton.

I also bought a blueberry muffin from Tom n Tom's, because all cakes and muffins are on 50% off after 9PM.

My hands were already shaking when I got home, so I just quickly took pictures, and stuffed noodles into my mouth . I needed to get food into my stomach as quickly as possible.

After the noodle dish (which was finished off too soon), I got to eat my muffin a bit slower.

Friday the 13th, nothing unlucky happened *touch wood*, except the news that the client I'm most scared of will be visiting the branch on August 23rd.

I wish I would wake up tomorrow and find that it's already August 24, and the client's visit would just be part of the past.

Everybody's Doing It, So I'm Doing it Too

I think this was HKD1 or HKD5 or HKD10, I couldn't understand the cashier, so I just nodded. I'm just sure that it's a promo price, because I also bought a Neme BB cream at Watson's Hong Kong.

I had the mask on my face when I started writing this. It felt cool, and not at all icky. So, this is what my friends and colleague have been raving about.

They've been singing praises on these masks, each friend with their favorite brand.

I think I might start my own mask ritual too! In fact, I can't wait to go to Watson's or Guardian to check out their masks.
