Been visiting Pazzion shoe store for about 2 years now (once in a while only though, because I know their shoes are expensive)

The Subaru Impreza Challenge
As we exited Ngee Ann City mall last night, we saw a big crowd in front of the mall.
The Subaru Impreza challenge was on, and it was running on its ninth hour.
Basically, there are hand marks on the side of the car, and the contestants (teamed according to country) need to put their palm on the outlined hand mark. They cannot remove their hand from the spot. Whoever is left standing wins the car. According to the report I heard, there's only a five minute break every 6 hours. Wow!
What if you need to answer the call of nature? What if your right hand is on the car, and your left armpit becomes unbearably itchy? What if you suddenly have a stomachache?
Coca Hotpot
Chili dipping sauce
Flower crab and prawn
******************************************************************
I've heard a couple of good reviews for this place within a week, so on Saturday night, about 9pm, my friend and I decided to eat at Coca, Ngee Ann City.
The last order was 945pm, so as usualy, we were in a hurry to order our food.
The pot was huge!
Anyway, soup base choices were chicken soup or tom yum soup. To play it safe, we ordered the chicken soup.
The soup was clear and tasty and nice. I liked it.
The ingredients were relatively fresh.
For just 2 people, we consumed the whole pot! Gak!
All in all, it was a good hotpot dinner which cost us sgd42 per person.
If I had to recommend a hotpot place though, it would still be Heyhey hotpot. Yummy!
The Best
The best, according to me:
Best chili crab and mantou bread - No Signboard
Best chicken- tie between Soup Restaurant, Wee Nam Kee and the one at Far East Plaza top floor
Best fish soup - basement foodcourt at Lucky Plaza, stall beside the Vegetarian mixed rice
Best Korean resto - Jin Sia Jun (or something like that) at East Coast
Best Italian Resto - Probably the most recent one I went to - Etna, at Lau Pa Sat
Best xiao long bao - Din Tai Fung and Taste Paradise (for the foie gras xiao long bao only)
Best custard bun - Taste Paradise! *drooling*
Best cranberry juice brand - Langers
Best katsudon - Tonkichi
Best milk tea - Gongcha green tea 80% sugar, Square 2 branch
Best yogurt - for now, it's Yigloo
Best foie gras - the French resto in front of HSBC Claymore branch
Best sandwich - Peck smoked ham and tomato (only 2.70!), located at Ngee Ann City
Best savoury crepe - Saybons ham and cheese with egg
Best hotpot resto - still Hey Hey Hotpot.
Best donut place - Donut Factory
Best salad - Health Fuel Station near One Raffles Quay. Mixed greens, tuna and honey mustard (lots of it)
Best buffet - there's a lot of 'better' ones, but I haven't found the best.
Best mooncake - definitely Raffles snowskin mooncake (you can taste the quality)
Best dessert - Marmalade pantry for the warm dates pudding with vanilla ice cream
Best junk food - Cheetos twisted
Best chocolate - I still like Schoko Bons.
Best cracker - Sky Flakes! Meiji comes in second.
Best chewy pearls in milk tea - Eskimo, I think at Robinson Road (my colleague bought one for em)
Best fruit juice - Grape and Pineapple with spirulina at Fruit Frolick
Best cookie - Famous amos!
Best tarty pastry - Lemon lust from Cedele
Best liege waffle - Sweet Stone
Best ice cream - Movenpick banana and chocolate fudge (which I couldn't find nowadays) and Azabu Sabo green tea or sea salt caramel ice cream
Best chili crab and mantou bread - No Signboard

3:28PM, Saturday
This is what time I woke up today.
I slept at 5am, woke up at 11:52 to pee, went back to sleep, and the next time I looked at my phone for the time, I almost jumped.
3:28pm! and I was supposed to meet my friend at 3pm!
Honestly, I didn't intend to sleep that long. After I went back to sleep at 11:52am, I thought I would wake up an hour after to pee again (like what usually happens). But noooo... my bladder was able to hold the liquid in till 3:28. (Hooray for this! This means my bladder is getting better ^-^. My frequent cranberry juice intake and cranberry supplements are working!)
Normally, I would wake up at about 8am and almost every hour thereafter for my toilet trips. Then, I would sleep again till about 1pm.. Afterwards, I would just lie on my bed, half awake, but still forcing myself to go back to sleep, until about 2pm. Then, I would get up and clean my room a bit, get out of my room and look for grub OR shower and go out to get my grub.

One Thing I'd Like to Bash
This thing here controls my life! Ring here, ring there. Plus, even when I'm using the phone, other calls still come in.
Damn it! I hate making phone calls, and I don't like answering calls as well.. but now, with my work, I make and receive about 25-40 calls per day.
Oh oh oh! There's also 3 other lines linked to my phone, so when there's a call, I can see who's calling and I have to pick them up as well. Aaaargh!
Recommended Italian Resto
It's on one corner of Lau Pa Sat, and they have a separate enclosed and airconed area.
The wood menu.
San Pellegrino Limonata . This was okay, but my friend's Italian soda wasn't so nice. It's probably an acquired taste so you're probably better off drinking plain water.
Grated cheese and chili for the pizza..
Droopy, just the way I like it. This one is very nice.. I don't really like parma ham, but their parma ham is nice. It was also very cheesy, that I almost choked on my first mouthful of mozzarella cheese. It refused to go down my throat and momentary got stuck on my air duct (is that what you call it?)
Scallop linguini pasta in lobster cream sauce. I think this was about SGD22 as well. Super worth it. There were about 6 chunks of fresh and tender scallops, and the sauce was very tasty.
See the scallop? It's big!
Mmmm... we thought it was brick oven-baked, but the waiter said they use gas oven that rotates (or did I make that up..) to give even heat..
Total bill was SGD61, but with UOB card, you get additional discount. Nett price was SGD55 for 2 people.. Not bad, because it was very filling, and we both had drinks.
Only thing is, the food is very tasty when hot.. I took the remaining pizza slices home, and ate one for supper. It didn't taste the same anymore.
Healthy Food
Smoked ham sandwich from Peck, Takashimaya (Food court level)
I think it was about SGD2.70 only.
I took a bite, and wah, the bread (very Italian) was super tough. But, as I ate it, I slowly appreciated the texture. It was sooo chewy and everything just blended well. I love it! I think this is my favorite sandwich so far. Not frilly and mushy and gourme-ish, but just tasty and chewy.
From The Sandwich Shop at The Arcade, Friday lunch with my friend
Wrap
Unwrap - tuna with thai mayo and greens. Taste was just okay, but it was surprisingly filling.
